“Insider’s
secrets to establishing a property
investing, home buying, business owning,
value added and entrepreneurial wealth
accumulation goal. Do you want to be able to
quickly and easily begin your journey to
financial success and freedom?”
Consider this “a test” if
you like, and have a pen and
paper to write your answers.
You really do wish to
establish a more secure financial future. You want to achieve this
through adopting a goal oriented, value added approach to
financial freedom and wealth accumulation. You would like to own
your own home, or invest in Queensland properties, or own your own
business, and you want to do it sooner rather than later.
You want financial security, you want to retire young (say
before you’re 50), and you want to be sure you can be successful,
so no one will laugh. We can understand that.
As nobody is going to see the
results of this “test” but yourself, you should be as honest and
forthright as you can be. It may take you an hour, or a week to
consider and complete this “test”.
You are encouraged to repeat this
“test” every six months… for the rest of your life!
Firstly, lets consider a little
about what many “gurus” and thinkers have said for centuries.
“Real integrity is doing the right
thing, knowing that nobody's going to know whether you did it or
not.” Oprah Winfrey, American Television Talk Show Host&
Entrepreneur
“Setting an example is not the main
means of influencing others; it is the only means.” Albert
Einstein, 1879-1955, A German-born American Physicist
“Who looks outside, dreams; who
looks inside, awakes.” Carl Gustav Jung A renowned American
psychologist
“...perhaps there is a pattern set
up in the heavens for one who desires to see it, and having seen
it, to find one in himself.” Plato
‘To put the world in order, we must
first put the nation in order; to put the nation in order, we must
put the family in order; to put the family in order, we must
cultivate our personal life; and to cultivate our personal life,
we must first set our hearts right.’ Confucius
If you wish to improve your
circumstances, move further toward success in your chosen filed of
endeavour, you will want to understand your motivations..
Alan Pease,
an internationally recognized expert on human communication,
business coaching, writer and entrepreneur, has identified a
number of human motivators which he considers relatively
universal. He suggests that, for humans generally, you will
consider and take action if there is the prospect of, the
reasonable expectation there will be, or being able to have or
achieve with some certainty:

 |
Extra Income |
|
|
 |
Retirement
|
|
| |
 |
More Spare Time |
|
|
 |
Own a Business |
|
| |
 |
Meet New People |
|
|

Recognition

|
| |
 |
Personal Development |
|
|
 |
Help Others
|
|

 |
Leave a Legacy |

 |
Financial Freedom |
|
What underlies these motivations
for you are your
values.
What purpose is there being motivated to obtain additional income
if your values are not aligned to doing what is necessary to
obtain it? Why desire “more spare time” if your values give you no
purpose to gainfully use it? Why achieve a higher income if you do
not make the best use of what you already receive, or if you waste
it?
We suggest starting with an
examination of what you actually do, where your money is actually
going, to give yourself an understanding of the power of your
values.
Start by considering and writing down your responses to each of
the following:
|
1. |
How do you fill your world, your
space? What occupies the room/s of your dwelling? What “things” do
you have around you? What do you “always” have with you?
|
|
2. |
How do you spend your time? What
activities do you engage in most significantly in terms of “time
spent” on them or in them?
|
|
3. |
How do you expend your energy?
What is it that you do a lot of, “energetically” and actively?
|
|
4. |
How do you spend your money? On
what do you spend the greatest proportions of your money? Where
does each group of items money is spent on rank in order of
spending?
|
|
5. |
What are your dominant thoughts? What is it that occupies
your thoughts consistently?
|
|
6. |
What do you visualise internally
or “dream” about having, being or doing? What sort of “pictures”
do you see yourself in?
|
|
7. |
What is your predominant
self-talk? What is your internal dialogue? Is it about yourself,
or others? Is it critical or praising? Is it encouraging or
negative?
|
|
8. |
What is your external dialogue?
What do you talk about with others? What do you “lead”
conversations with others towards, if possible? What topics
“interest” you most?
|
|
9. |
What do you react to, or respond actively to? What do you
become “excited” about? What do you become “anxious” about?
What do you become sad or angry about? What do you feel
“happy” or “contented” about when you think or talk about
it? |
You have many words written down from answering
these 9 questions. Some of those words will have a very strong
“feeling” sensation for you. Values such as honesty, integrity,
courage, inventiveness, compassion, timeliness, cleanliness, etc
are understood to be all pervading, and a foundation of your
existence.
Not all your and beliefs are disclosed by this
“test”, just some of the ones that have some significant
implications for your future success.
Without a clear understanding of
YOUR values and beliefs, in a real and genuine sense, then you
will have difficulty sustaining your desire, your dream, for a
more secure financial future.
Your Values
and Beliefs are your strongest emotional drivers for achieving
your goals, your dreams, a secure financial future! We must plan
your strategy for investment, wealth creation and home ownership
to build on them.
“Your values and beliefs are a
function of your goals and plans.”
Change your goals and plans, get
really firm on new ones, and you will notice your values and
beliefs exposed by answering these 9 questions will shift. Shift a
little at first, but as you become more and more committed to your
new goals and plans, some of the values and beliefs that emerge
will reflect and become aligned with those new goals and plans.
“Aligning you values, beliefs,
actions with your purpose; and
identifying your goals and plans;
is the foundation of success.”
